John Patton

American pastoral theologian and professor in Atlanta. Known for his work on pastoral counseling, narrative approaches to pastoral care, and the theology of pastoral ministry. His Is Human Forgiveness Possible? (1985) is one of the most theologically serious treatments of forgiveness in pastoral literature, and Pastoral Care in Context (1993) situates the field within its full historical and theological arc.
