William Bowen
William G. Bowen (1933–2016) — President of Princeton University (1972–1988) and later President of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. A major figure in American higher education, known for his research on college access, affirmative action, and the economics of the performing arts (The Performing Arts: An Economic Dilemma, co-authored with William Baumol, remains a landmark study).
