Rudy Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani — former Mayor of New York City (1994–2001), former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and, in later years, a figure whose reputation collapsed in service of Donald Trump's election challenges.

Doug Eaton met Giuliani in 1968, when Giuliani was clerking for Judge Lloyd MacMahon — two years after Doug had done the same clerkship. They became colleagues in the U.S. Attorney's Office from 1970 to 1973, when Whitney (Mike) Seymour appointed both of them as assistants while serving as U.S. Attorney. Doug saw Rudy frequently until 2002, when Giuliani's third wife Judith Nathan severed him from most of his former colleagues.
