Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi — the first woman to serve as Speaker of the United States House of Representatives (2007–2011, 2019–2023), and the most powerful woman in the history of American government.

Pelosi was a longtime political partner and ally of Elliot & Patti Daley's mother. When Elliot's mother died, Pelosi flew from Washington DC to San Francisco to speak at her memorial service — a gesture that speaks to the depth of the relationship.
